For Jared's star student teaching he taught us how draw ninjas. We had to watch what he did and copy him. Someone filmed him and we saw it on the big tv so it was easier to see what he was doing. We loved that we could customize our ninjas.
Welcome. This blog is a window for you to see some of the things our Year 5-6 class has done this year. My email address is carmelwilson@redwood.school.nz.

Most mornings before school we have a morning question. This was todays question on Friday the 13th. I predicted that most students would choose 'extra super-du-per excited.'

First hockey session
Today we had our first hockey session. We thought it was:
-fun because everybody got to do something. -Declan
-frustrating because the wind kept blowing the ball away. -Lauryn
-awesome because Dane was a really good coach. - Emma
-spectacular because I got 60 on the challenge. -Riley
-hard because it's hard to keep control of the ball. It slips off the hockey stick. -Ryan
-fun because everyone had a good time. -Kaleb
-amazing because I came second in the game. -Amber
-fun because I won the stop challenge. -Campbell
-fun because of all the games we were playing. -Kayla
-awkward because some of the people are left handed. -Amelia
-really fun because I came first in one of the dribbling challenge. -Josh

Singing with our buddy class
Clever Mrs Morpeth made up a song about Room 13.
She challenged us to make up our own song, which we did.
We shared it at whole school assembly.
Here it is.
