CALENDAR ART

We did our calendar art with Mrs Goodin.  We did three pieces of art.  We got to pick our best piece to be our calendar art then the extra two are either hanging up in the office or hanging up in the class.

The three pieces were:

• A zentangle piece with half of your head on the bottom.
• A water paint swirl.
• A action word with coloured paper and newspaper.

Peaches - maths problem

For maths lots of the the class had a go at these three related problems. There were tricky and took us several days to solve. There was lots of trial and error. Sometimes students were stuck and frustrated. But then when they figured something out they were excited and proud of the way they had continued to persist.

Skipping - routines and double dutch

We love skipping. Lots of us can do lots of different things like backwards skipping, fast skipping and criss cross. Some can even do backwards criss cross.

Some of us made up routines with a partner. Here are some examples.

We have been lucky that Mrs Wilson and Laurine have taught some of us how to do double dutch. It is tricky but fun.
