Arthur's mountain biking writing

Arthur wrote this fantastic piece of writing when he was working with Mrs Arlidge. He had to imagine he was mountain biking and describe what was going on.

Read his writing, then watch the Youtube clip that is at the bottom of this post.

I am ready to go. I am desperate to push off but I need to get ready.

People are cheering like they are about to explode into a thousand pieces. I bolted off! As I went scrambling off I was getting petrified. There were heaps of gigantic rocks. It was nerve wracking.

I was flipping like a whale, flipping put of the water. I feel out of breath! I was hesitating like I was falling. Dust was rushing into my eyes. I was about to tumble down over a lump of stones into hell.

I bolted like I was the speed of light. I was near the end, well almost. I was concentrating super hard. I could hear the thunder of the cheering so loud my ears were about to fall off. So many flips.

I feel like I’m going to vomit all over the show. Two more minutes left until I can scuttle home. There is the end.

I was trying to gaps for breath. I have 20 seconds left. I’m peddling so hard my legs are going to drop off. I feel dizzy. I think I’m going to explode into the sky like a firework whistling into the night.

Do you think I will do that again? Oh God I will!
